What is a filling?
Fillings are used when there is decay, also called a cavity, in a tooth. Fillings can also be used if there is a cracked or broken tooth that needs to be fixed. We also recommend replacing fillings that are damaged and need to be changed. Our dentists can perform fillings to try and keep your mouth healthy.
COMPOSITE FILLINGS IN NORTH YORK
There are many types of filling materials available. We work with our patients to determine the options for restoring teeth. Composite fillings, along with silver amalgam fillings, are the most widely used today.
Because composite fillings are tooth coloured, they can be closely matched to the colour of existing teeth, and are usually suited for use in front teeth or the more visible areas of the teeth.
